Johannesburg - President Jacob Zuma has appointed Justice Nonkosi Zoliswa Mhlantla as a judge of the Constitutional Court, the presidency announced on Monday.

Mhlantla, who is currently a judge of the Supreme Court of Appeal, will take up the new position from December 1, spokesperson Bongani Majola said in a statement.

Skweyiya retired in May last year. He died in September this year at the age of 76.

Zuma wished Mhlantla all the best in her new responsibilities.
