ANC big wigs to discuss Malema

2012-06-10 14:41

Johannesburg - The ANC's national executive committee will meet on Monday to discuss former Youth League president Julius Malema's expulsion from the party, according to media reports on Sunday.

The special NEC was convened to discuss preparations for the party's national policy conference.

But according to the Sunday Times and the Sunday Independent, it would also discuss Malema's fate.

Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe, ANC treasurer general Matthews Phosa, and deputy secretary general Thandi Modise were not in favour of Malema's expulsion, the Sunday Times reported.

Youth league spokesperson Magdalene Moonsamy was quoted as saying: "We are expecting the matter to be discussed and resolved in the executive meeting on Monday."

The Sunday Independent noted that Malema did not enjoy popular support among NEC members.

President Jacob Zuma was believed to enjoy majority support, according to the paper.

ANC spokesperson Jackson Mthembu was not immediately available for comment.

      ppisciotta - 2012-06-10 15:59

The entire world if afraid of power coming into the hands of the un-educated, the immature, the bigots, the corrupt. If Malema or those like him hold sway, I pray the good of this world will eventually save SA from ourselves as they try with so many other miserable countries. The world does not need another Somilia, Afganistan, Zim, Rwanda. You pick the miserable places you can think of now or in the past, or go live there and enjoy your "freedom". I am begining to think SA is not mature enough to stand on its own. Those in power are immature in democracy.

The ANC itself is the biggest Troll, with a legion of trollettes repeating its utterances. They are particularly active on weekends. Don't feed the trolls! Back up your tree, George, you're down too soon.

      christelle.james.7 - 2012-06-10 17:48

I think they are even more concerned about the new clown. It's an issue of who is the worst, the devil you know or the devil you don't know. And yes, the dirt Henk.

      Sharon - 2012-06-11 11:46

there are two ways things will go if the anc bring back this retard.he will either destroy the anc from within or through him they will destroy the country,we are at a turning point in politics and i fear the anc dont konw what to do,each so called comrade trying desperatly to jump on whats left of the gravy train and they will try every dirty trick in the book to screw the next comrade,i think we will see interesting times ahead,i just hope (but i doubt)that the people will wake up in time

      shudusO - 2012-06-12 11:40

Obvious ANC will lose support because they kicked this guy from the party...but bringing him back will kick more valuable voters.

  • CharlesDumbwin - 2012-06-10 14:50

Why is the ANC still bothering with this little tsotsi. He must be banned for LIFE !!! Him and all his beret-wearing troublemaking supporters. They are all useless and will destroy this country of ours. I appeal to the ANC NEC, PLEASE shut down the dysfunctional ANCYL once and for all, PLEASE, they are a disgrace to South Africa and Madiba's vision. SHUTDOWN THE TSOTSI League forever !!!

      yar.wellnofine - 2012-06-10 15:19

Spot on Charles. Who can Juju finger on his way down? The easy way to get rid of Juju is to let hinm stand trial for corruption and fraud. His tenderpreneurship adventures should get him an easy 700 years in jail. This would solve the ANC's problem and the country's problem. The reason the ANC doesn't do it, is because they are all in it together.

      Chille - 2012-06-10 19:24

@Tshililo, What have the other youth leagues done that is racist? List them, maybe then we can talk. I can list a list as long as my arm what the ANCYL have done, or told us they wanted to do that is. And not just racist, but illegal too.

I've never stolen ANYTHING from you, but you've come into my house, violated my personal space as well as my family, hurt people I love, threatened rape and have STOLEN/HELPED yourself to what I worked VERY hard for because you feel entitled? Why don't you do what I did, work HARD and EARN these things! You can't just take what you want it doesn't work like that..

@les, your mines? What were you mining, hehe

      silvia.vaneck2 - 2012-06-10 18:24

Lesetjam, When white man came you had nothing but some cattle and loin cloths. All the technology, cars and knowledge needed to build what you see around you today came from Europe, Asia and America. So in essence there is nothing that you are entitled to repossess!! PLUS Human life as we know it today originated in Africa. Humans spread to Europe, Asia and the Americas from Africa. Therefore all people all over the world should move back to Africa because that is where ALL our forefathers came from!!

      Jazzy - 2012-06-10 20:03

Letsejam (Freddy Green?) The Bible says as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. That means you are a thief. Even your forefathers just took whatever they wanted because it's not in your culture to work for anything.

      freda.coetzee - 2012-06-10 20:16

lesetjam ...put your computer off, throw away your cellphone and go play outside ...Technology came from outside. Without their help we are nothing. Grow some backbone and stop being Racist. We need to stand together. Black, white, other and wecome outside investment.(the ONLY way to create enough jobs) The few rich white people can never help all the masses.

  • Simon Maabe - 2012-06-10 15:11

Malema is our hope as blacks! His expulsion only made whites happy. What about us blacks? What about opportunities we been locked against? Malema must just come back, we need him, we BLACKS.

      phalane.queen - 2012-06-10 15:20

      Jazzy - 2012-06-10 20:09

You've had all the opportunities handed to you on a platter since 1994. The fact is you don't want to work for these opportunities when they present themselves. That's why you have nothing. Yoi have been brainwashed by Malema - what has HE ever given you? Has he given you opportunities? No, he's taken all he can get and if he comes back he'll keep on doing it. Don't expect any favours from him.

      Sharon - 2012-06-11 12:00

@ simon if malema is your only hope then i pity you, many blacks have achieved great things through hard work and good business skills, the masses are where they are today because the anc has instilled into them a sence of entitelment, malema can give you nothing, malema will give you nothing, stop dreaming and start to better yourselves and work for what you want.in other words stop being so useless

  • ppisciotta - 2012-06-10 15:11

      indianajohn - 2012-06-11 12:16

      and mine.

  • Mo Iqraam - 2012-06-10 15:15

u need malema to reverse aparthied and take revenge you mean?? soo after approximately 20 years you now realised that the white man used you?? hahahaha pathetic

      Henk - 2012-06-10 15:53

You should have embraced the white community but you decided to alienate us with you BEE laws. With that you alienated our money. So do not come and talk to me about economic freedom. Your own laws are stopping your economic freedom!

      John - 2012-06-10 16:15

Ever heard of hard work and earning what you want? It's part of the responsibilities of enjoying freedom. Many of my black, and educated friends know this, and work their butts off for what they have. Hand-outs bleed the working public and keep people poor. Why should people earning social grants work? They live for free. This mentality gets us nowhere. Only purpose it serves is gaining votes for the ANC. Little do these ignorant folks know this money comes from hard earned tax money. Lesserjam, the way you speak sounds as if you still live in the pre-94 era. time to wake up from your slumber, mate. If you want a share, work for it. That's what being free means.

      John - 2012-06-10 16:21

Lesserjam, as much as the apartheid government gave white people a bad name, you equally give black people a bad name. You are equally as dense and racist as those in the apartheid governent. Thank god there are plenty of intelligent and positive black people. I have had the pleasure to work alongside intelligent and hardworking black folk with integrity. SA doesn't need racists like you whom divide the country perpetuate hatred.

      John - 2012-06-10 18:09

Lesserjam, you are very quick to seek a war and blood shed. Your own leaders government realise that land grabs will flip the economy upside down and regress this country to the dark ages. Besides the gravy train coming to an abrupt end where they won't be able to buy more luxury cars, there will also be no more social grants, nor money for social programmes. Your arguements are that of a two year old. But let's play along for a moment just to humour you. You think before the settlers your forefathers where on that land since the big bang? No, they were not, they stole it from someone else. There is blood on all our forefathers' hands. Madiba knew this and had enough of bloodshed, that is why he promoted reconciliation and pushed people to work together. The land is an ongoing negotiation. As far as myself, the apartheid governent gave my family nothing. I did not come from wealth. I worked for every last damned cent I own today. I know what it is to work hard and earn, so don't tell me I didn't work. Take your head out your rectum and use it - maybe something useful may come out of it.

      silvia.vaneck2 - 2012-06-10 18:35

Actually Lesetjam, There is a lot of land that could have been redistributed already. The government already owns a lot of land. There are a lot of farmers that do want to sell. But you want the land for nothing and I will bet you that once you have the land for nothing you will not farm. Then where will SA be??

      Honey - 2012-06-10 19:38

Lesetjam (or should that be jetsam?) Your ignorance is unreal - You state that "we are the positive black intelligent" learn to phrase things properly as a start to gaining any credibility and then look at the facts - YOU, THE BLACKS, stole from the only true South Africans, the Khoi San - maybe your intelligence doesn't extend to reading any historical facts. You are a total racist and have no idea what you are talking about, you are an embarrassment to decent black people in this country. You are a hate-monger and a person who thinks that violence will get you what you think you so rightly deserve, hence all the threats and attempts to instill fear in people, just like that other idiot Malenema. This post is not about people being able to express themselves freely, but about your stupidity, arrogance, ignorance and racist attitude that will go nowhere towards building any mutually beneficial future. I will complain to these ANC puppets at NEWS24 as your continuous goading amounts to hate-speech. As for your threats - I assure you that the rule of mob will fall quickly and with streams of blood when they push to the levels that you suggest,as has been shown historically, an organised few will quickly decimate the likes of you, you slimy little punk!

      John - 2012-06-10 23:46

      brendon.nel.7 - 2012-06-10 15:41

What is yours? What claim do u have to the land under your feet? What have u done to deserve being a african other than having been born with a black skin? This land was taken at the point of a spear from someone, and then taken from others at the point of a bayonet and rifle. Who has rightful claim? I think only those with africa's best interests best interest at heart deserve to bask in her sunlight. Clearly you don't so f.ck off to antartica.

Just a thought: News24 continues to post articles about Melema. What would happen if everyone stopped their comments about this person? Remember News24 is a business. What does not sell does not get into print. Sell can be both purchases or attention. Who is all for calling a boycott to anything related to Malem? Damn, they may ban me from "online" posting as they did my husband for suggesting the same. Thoughts?

You rip what you sow on earth. Julius Malema is our comrade and understands exactly what is right for the youth. We have not forgotten what you put us through as black people in our own land. Slow but surely we are taking our land back.. We are changing street names and soon land expropriation will be established!! Julius is coming to do what he does best!! POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!

The only thing julius does is preach hatred and foster racism among brainliss fools such as yourself, in an attempt to keep the masses from seeing that he really doesn't give a damn bout you or the \cause\. If your comrades are the saints you claim them to be. Let's see them slash down on those fancy salaries they earn and support the local areas they claim to be representing with it. Let's see them out in the country where the problems lie, living the life they claim to be trying to irradicate. You friend are a fool to see otherwise.

Over two months ago my husband posted for a boycott of posts about Malema. Since then his ID has been blocked, so he can not post. He has submitted query to New24 to no avail. Yet I can post. I would not be here if it were not for the sake of my husband's freedom of speach. News24 has his details. They can contact him, state why he was "blocked" but they remain silent. I will continue to speak out on his behalf until they block Me. I have nothing to hide. You all see my Facebook Profile. Comment and send me support or disagreement. I am more for freedom of speach and I am for agreement.

If the people that comment especially the "blacks" here just ask yourself one question,WHAT has Julius done for SA? Don't tell me about his struggle please, you live in the past then you doomed to fail, NEVER forget sure but move on and grow...What has this man done that has had ANY benefit for us? He preaches only radical policies, hangs onto the past at EVERY chance like old BOB...the rest of the world does not CARE but we NEED to be part of the international community.Old Bob showed the world his middle finger and look where "his" people are, don't blame the white man, this has NOTHING to do with race, it's pure greed and race hate on Bobs part and Julius is the same. He offer us NOTHING new, just the same old race hate. I don't support the ANC policies as a whole BUT, with the rest of the government they realise that to SURVIVE in this new world, we need to be PART of it, not try to tell them all to piss off, "we will do it our way". NO ONE is interested in what Julius has to say and if he gets the support he wants while he gets driven in Ranger Rovers and lives in Multi MILLION rand houses while pleading poverty...he must have the richest kid in Africa with the "Trust Fund" then for sure you can be sure SA will fail like Zim. I'm in the business of replacing people with Robots and SA will be no different soon, the plans are set, I'll be back soon so it makes no difference to me what happens,my money is outside SA now but to see SA become another Zim is sad.

      Sagin - 2012-06-10 18:03

You desperately need a leader. wake me up when you find one.

I once said the man would be back and it's not even a year and ANC is on the process of reinstating him.South Africa must just settle down because we are here for a long haul!!!

      silvia.vaneck2 - 2012-06-10 18:55

Morama, No you are not. Soon the farms will be taken and farming will die....and so will you. You can't eat the soil. Remember one thing. Since 1652 the population of the earth has increased dramatically. Here are some stats for you. In 1800 the world population was 1 billion. In 1927 the earth population doubled to 2 billion. In 2012 the world population more than trebled to 7 billion people. That is one helluva lot of people to feed!!! The world is already struggling to feed itself. 1 in 7 people will go to bed starving tonight (worldwide stats)!! The two continents that have the highest starvation rates are Asia and then Africa. SA is still fairly ok at this moment...but...I think the end is near!!

South African politics are dull and dumb without CDE \Mr Nationalisation\. I'm prayin hard for Malema's re-instatement. This Zuma's anti-limpoping the ANC doesn't bode well with my aspirations. Fingers crossed for Bloody Agent!

  • Mike Purchase - 2012-06-10 19:57

As long as they dont put a woman at the helm old jz will scoop her.

  • Mbambo - 2012-06-10 20:05

We hate to accept it, Malema always get the country talking about the problems we're facing in our daily basis and for that, alot of people misses him. White South Africans has the right to despise this young lion of Africa, over the controversial song he used to sing, simple because it insights violence and it's context poses a hate speech towards Afrikaneers. Nevertheless, he can become a good leader should he work on his approach and in filtering what comes out of his mouth. The chap lacks timing and apart from that, he's the voice of the voiceless.
