Political expert breaks down ANC manifesto

2014-01-13 16:38

Political analyst Daniel Silke speaks to News24 about the ANC’s manifesto and what it means for South Africans.WATCH

Cape Town - A political analyst believes the ANC will struggle to get anywhere close to a two-thirds majority in this year's national and provincial elections.

Daniel Silke told News24 in an interview that he believes the ANC will be happy if they can get 60% of the total vote.

Silke also spoke about the ANC's election manifesto, saying it was a "regurgitation" of issues in previous election manifestos, but it shows continuity for the ANC.

The issue is whether the ANC has the leadership or political will to implement the proposals, he added.
