Johannesburg - The ANCYL has dissolved its North West executive committee, due to a need to "strengthen and build organisational renewal in the province", it said on Tuesday.
The North West committee's term of office had expired and it had failed to put together a provincial conference, spokesperson Floyd Shivambu said in a statement.
"The (ANCYL) national executive committee (NEC) further resolved that due to the urgent need to fast-track reviving structures of the ANCYL on the ground, a provincial conference preparatory committee must be established.
"This committee will be charged with the responsibility of convening and presiding over the two remaining regional conferences within the shortest time possible."
The province would host the league's national general council (NGC) from July 12 to 18.
"All branches in good standing will attend the NGC of the ANCYL to inform a clear, more radical political programme towards the NGC of the ANC in September 2010," he said.
