ANCYL leaders to visit provinces

Johannesburg - The ANCYL's national leadership will spend
two weeks visiting its provincial structures to assess the state of the league,
it said on Tuesday.
"The NWC [national working committee] will meet with
provincial and regional executive committees in the various provinces to report
back on the ANC 53rd National Conference, assess the state of the organisation
and readiness for regional and provincial congresses where these are due,"
the African National Congress Youth League said.
"The engagement will, of necessity, speak to
strengthening the organisation to being an even stronger fighting force to
champion youth interest with the ANC."
The ANCYL would also use the opportunity to mobilise youth
around the country behind the ANC ahead of the 2014 national elections.
On Tuesday, the ANCYL would visit Limpopo, where it was
vocal last year in its criticism of the ANC and President Jacob Zuma.
The ANCYL in Limpopo also held night vigils in support of
its expelled president Julius Malema after the national leadership distanced
itself from him.
Later in the week, it would visit the Free State and
Northern Cape.
