ANCYL not taking enquiries after meeting

2012-02-29 15:25

Johannesburg - The ANC Youth League said on Wednesday afternoon it will not take any enquiries on the outcome of the ANC disciplinary process.

The ANC’s national disciplinary committee is expected to meet on Wednesday to finalise a decision on Julius Malema, the ANCYL’s suspended president.

“Members of the media and all South Africans are advised that the leadership of the ANC Youth League will not take any media enquiry to respond to the outcomes of the ANC disciplinary process,” the league said in a statement.

The African National Congress's national disciplinary committee of appeal (NDCA) upheld the conviction of Malema and five ANCYL officials for bringing the party into disrepute and sowing division.

All of a sudden, the ANCYL want to keep their big mouths shut! I wonder why?

With a comment like that, does it mean that Mr Malema's chunk has been cut off? If so, today is a good day!!!!

Let's be grateful if they do. Will also be good if the media don't even approach them for ANY comments about anything. The less we see or hear about/from them the better.

  • David - 2012-02-29 15:33

Seems like they know what the outcome will be

  • Freddie - 2012-02-29 15:37

Let's see how long they can keep quiet for. My guess is not even one day. Juju for expulsion!! Yes please!

  • Nigel - 2012-02-29 15:40

wait until the verdict is out, then the chair throwing, swearing, threatening & intolerance will begin, unless of course the ANC is too pathetic to discipline him.

  • Marion - 2012-02-29 15:40

We live in hope that there will be silence until they have something meaningful to say.

  • Michele - 2012-02-29 15:41

I wonder, can they spell enquiry ? Jokes aside, I am sure that they are preparing for the worst which will probably be complete expulsion. If they had taken their hidings like men and not snot nosed kids they would have been better off today.

The ANC decision makers are at sixes and sevens over what should be an easy decision. I wonder just what Malema and pal have on them? It is either that or maybe it is just reflective of the way this party runs –the handwringing which paradoxically is equalled by inertia caused by the lack of courage and ability to make the tough calls when needed and the inefficiency; except when it comes to pillaging the country through the tenderpreneurship where in contrast they are very efficient.
