ANCYL to elect new leadership

2012-04-21 16:41

Johannesburg - The ANC Youth League said it would elect a new leadership at its elective conference in Polokwane on Saturday, SABC radio reported.

At the same time, a parallel conference, claiming to be that of the youth league, was underway in Seshego.

Seshego is the home town of ousted ANC Youth League president Julius Malema.

The league's provincial chair, Frans Moswane, warned that action would be taken against ill diciplined members.

He said there was only one legitimate conference taking place in the province this weekend, which was in Polokwane.

Boy Mamabolo from the Seshego conference told the broadcaster they planned on electing a new "preferred" leadership.

Do they have people within their fold to fix the mess that Juju has created? I most sincerely hope so, the Youth League is important to groom future leaders, as well as fight for the young people in the country regarding education and job creation. Best of luck.

WTH have u been smoking Sharon????

      Sharon - 2012-04-21 17:54

@ Catgirl, there are some forward-thinking youngsters out there, who don't live in the past, and who are fed-up with the government and corruption. They fully understand that, when these old fogies leave, the plundering will be done, and there will be nothing left for hem to build a future on. I pin my hopes on them.

Uneducated or not, vote is equal in value.People you regard as being uneducated are the one who put those people in power.I suggest DA come to our district Taung to campaign for 2014.If ANC win 2014 elections in Gauteng after this e-toll I don't know.Fuel price is increasing next week again.Zuma nuptial 4th woman.Corruption, fraud,Nepotism is indeed Zuma's middle name.People of S.A let vote carefully in 2014.DA stand up,help us from these corrupted goverment.

      Piet - 2012-04-21 19:11

the poor has nothing to lose my friend. they are blinded by promises from politicians who just need them for the vote. The middle class is the group that you must listen to. The bigger the middle class the smaller the vote to the ANC. Why? Now suddenly the new middle class comes to the realisation that they are working high stress jobs and that more than half of their income goes back to the state. Then he has to drive on a potholed ridden road with his new beemer. The same guy goes to Cape town for business gets a rental and drive of well maintained and marked roads. Remember, your infrastructure can be used a a direct correlation on the abbility of govenance. Hence we have bad roads in Gauteng, not to mention the etolling fiasco....

      catgirl1971 - 2012-04-21 19:24

The sooner the masses stop voting 4 the cANCer the quicker SA can become the great country is was destined 2 be and crime, corruption, nepotism, etc can be nipped in the bud and a proper governance of this country can come in2 being.

basicaly what is happening in politics 2day is way out of line, comrades are just enriching themselves. those who are filthy rich dont even wana think 4 da poor. there r people who cannot afford an rdp house or a bondage mostly public servants as they are da worst exploited, where as comrades are just tenderpreneuring each other. they stay in sandton, they dont have degrees or diplomas. but lives fancy lives which a person with honors cannot afford. look @ our president 4 an example, da wedding 4 his 4th wife(how did he save da R64m in just three years in his term since he is earning R2m p/a. da president's salary in five years wil b +- R13m(dats da 5 year period in total). cum 2014 they'l expect da public 2 vote 2 vote 4 da anc. im an anc supporter, im just concerned wth how our comrades are doing things. come e tolling, they just implement without consulting da public, come da election da consultation will b serious dat wil even b door 2 door. i think we need leaders who are reasonable nd wil always stand 4 their people.
