Polokwane - ANC deputy president Jacob Zuma arrived shortly after 09:00 to cast his vote at the ANC conference at the university of Limpopo in Polokwane.
Zuma, whose arrival at the venue was met with wild applause from delegates in the queue, waved at his supporters as they sung his praises.
Surrounded by a team of bodyguards, Zuma smiled as he walked towards the voting stations.
He was wearing a brown leather jacket and an ANC Khaki cap.
Voting for the top six positions in the ANC was supposed to have begun at 06:00 but was delayed due to computer problems, the party's electoral commission said.
"We had computer problems, that's why we could not start on time," commission chairperson Bertha Gxowa said.
