Cape Town - Western Cape Cope leader Allan Boesak resigned from the party on Tuesday, saying its structures were in disarray.

"I have today [Tuesday] informed the leadership of Cope [Congress of the People] that I am ending my membership of the party and that I have tendered my resignation as a member of the Western Cape provincial legislature with immediate effect," Boesak said.

"From the very beginning the party structures, such as they were, were characterised by faction fighting, strife, pitched battles for political supremacy and duplicity.

"At this point the party structures continue to be in disarray," he said.

Who's job is it to teach it to their child, the parents and tell me how do you teach your kids respect for others????? Because think of it this way, if i'm not taught respect for others then what would stop me from going out, loading up and mowing down 50 people in the street? Because in their eyes(the kids who kill), if they don't respect you....then you mean nothing to them. And it's a vicious circle because if their parents weren't taught that then.....their whole system is falling apart just from one single lesson that needs to get taught...respect for one another.
