Fight for 'unbanning' of ANCYL - Malema

2012-02-19 22:19

Johannesburg - ANC Youth League president Julius Malema has called on young people to fight for the "unbanning" of the youth league, SABC news reported on Sunday.

Addressing his followers in Bushbuckridge, Malema said he would continue to support the African National Congress even if he was expelled, the broadcaster said.

The ANC's national appeals committee suspended Malema for five years and was considering pleas for leniency for his and other youth leaders' sentences.

Malema said the youth should not be intimidated.

"We are ready to confront every situation. We are fearless, we are more determined to fight for the economic freedom of our people and therefore any form of intimidation is not working," he was quoted by the SABC.

"Actually, when you intimidate us, you make us determined in our calls for the total liberation of our people."

Malema and his executive were found guilty last November of bringing the ANC into disrepute and of sowing division in the party, partly for making comments about regime change in Botswana and comparing President Jacob Zuma unfavourably to his predecessor, Thabo Mbeki.

Last kick of a dying horse.. Sadly another Malema article not even close to newsworthy

      Kim - 2012-02-20 06:12

Malema is not interested in providing for the youth. He thrives on sensationalism. Just lock this freak of nature up for good.

      Fanie - 2012-02-20 07:21

Please dont insult noble, loyal, usefull creatures such as horses - rather say last twitch of a dying parasite

  • weareu - 2012-02-19 22:33

"comparing Pres Jacob Zuma to Thabo?????" yeah SAPA needs to check their facts or I'm going to have to assume that they are trying to sow divisions in society.

  • Shadho - 2012-02-19 22:35

Oh JuJu.... please go away already...anyone can phone the press and ask them to arrive and print stories and take photographs!! • Riedwaan Jefferies - 2012-02-19 22:43

Economic Freedom to plunder? Total Liberation of the people from what? Could it be from mismanagement, incompetance, corruption within the ANC?

  • Wayne Maalkop Nelson - 2012-02-19 22:44

  • Nkosinathi - 2012-02-19 22:48

When are we going to fight for education? You are always trying to compare yourself to former militant leaders of the YL, just thought I would remind you that the most famous YL leader Tata Mandela was a lawyer. In fact up until JZ, the ANC leadership have been academics of note. So go get some education and become employable.

      Chris - 2012-02-20 00:40

      I love this one.

      Michelle - 2012-02-20 08:04

Mtshezi, if he was educated he would have a the mental capability of achieving his goals without alienating people and the knowledge to not sound like a yapping poodle!

      Tokoloshe - 2012-02-20 09:09

I accidentally bumped into Julias at UNISA. If you check his Facebook profile it will confirm that he is studying through UNISA. We are both doing a Bachelor of Woodwork degree.

      Nkosinathi - 2012-02-20 09:44

You have been RECALLED Juju. Recalled, sounds familiar?

      Nigel - 2012-02-20 11:15

thumbs up Nkosinathi, he never talks about education, or transport infrastructure, aids, healthcare or crime, always about the same old lies, that he himself believes. All he does is cut & past from what others have done, he thinks he is like the young Nelson Mandela, only Winnie Mandela has moulded him in her hateful nasty way to get back at the ANC for being left out.

      Perfume - 2012-02-20 14:15

      Love your comment Nkosinathi!

  • Kevin - 2012-02-19 22:49

Julius doesn't get it the ANCYL isn't banned. He is being punished for embarassing the ANC, behaving in an uncouth manner and for expressing policy positions rejected by the NEC and that are also in conflict with the Constitution negotiated by Tambo Mandela Slovo and Ramaphosa.

      Johann - 2012-02-19 23:32

You are making a very small error. Remember, an idiot like Julius believes he IS the ANCYL and that all his fellow followers are also morons... Thus, according to his beliefs, if he is banned, the ANCYL is also banned. That is what you can expect of an idiot with an IQ less than my parrot.

      Klaus - 2012-02-20 01:38

jfmm, Your parrot must be very stupid! ;))

  • ThandaMzansi - 2012-02-19 23:12

The ANC should disown the youth league. Cut them off completely. Let them stand or fall on their own. After all, what's the point of having a youth league that disrespects the parent body? If they won't tow the line, kick them out. It really is that simple.

      Michael - 2012-02-20 08:57

and then we the tax payer would not have to fund these cretins!!!

  • Joao - 2012-02-19 23:20

It is going to be a cold, cold winter for Malema.

      Bluemast - 2012-02-20 01:08

Not a cold winter for this crony, but, for all his brainwashed/brain dead followers they will still be sleeping in pipes at night, yet still contribute to Mall-lema's luxury warm home! He doesn't care a damn about his supporters, he is self-centered, but his supporters are too St..pls to realise this, shame!

  • Maanda Godfrey Nephawe - 2012-02-19 23:34

They can't touch Malema, he is the main man

      Bluemast - 2012-02-20 01:19

You right you can't touch him, he is such a coward with all his bodyguards etc. ! Wonder if he still has that headache caused by his conscience !

      Kevin - 2012-02-20 07:31

Well that means the ancyl is more useless then everyone knows it to be

  • Brad.Kopping - 2012-02-20 00:14

i wonder if malema realises that he only has a suport base of 0000000.000.02% of the population. for all those concerended, its not a big number. an for more of you who want a more detailed explnation: he has under 200 000 supporters in a county with over 14 million.

  • bronwyngrobler - 2012-02-20 00:50

honestly, i would hire a hit-man and take malema out. it would be pure joyful peace

  • Bluemast - 2012-02-20 00:53

Who is his dentist, I would pay loads of money for his dentist to "accidentally" sow his mouth shut, after extracting all his teath, (this would help in jail :-) these sutures should not be of the dis solvable type either, even rope would work - I've seen this done on mummys seems to work for millinea! Headlines on this pig has become so boring - I've got an idea, lets send him on a night watch in the protection of our rhino, without any weaponry of course - see if he can put his money where his mouth is!? The coward, if it wasn't for his bain-washed crowd of cronies, he is just another soar on a farm!

  • Kidwell Prime Mokadi - 2012-02-20 01:24

It's funny hw ppl hate and r being disgusted by Mr Malema, but they alwayz rush 2 read any media article concerning hm.why not Ignore hm if you r tired of hm?nd save urself the time?.And what makes you perfect to judge him?infact who r you to judge hm?we will all end up the same place anywaz..live ur life..

      Sipho - 2012-02-20 07:02

      Kidwell Prime Mokadi - 2012-02-20 07:48

I respect all your opinions here, your entitle to them. It's pity they describe your attitude or state of mind. It's irrelevant to tell me i should learn how to write english. If you have master in English or you were your born white good for then.As for the guy who judge people continue doing so if it would help you grow or benefit from that. That's if your the son of God.You don't own Anc by the way.what you both think about me i'm kool with it.

      Michelle - 2012-02-20 10:51

Kidwell, he can be likened to a horrific car crash - aweful to look at BUT you just can't stop yourself.

      Ed - 2012-02-20 11:03

'makeusthink'...dude, what plane are you on? since when do you talk about the 'us' and 'they'? are you still back in 18voetsek building your laager waiting for the battle of blood river? we are all in this boat together and if you could 'makeurselfthink', you would realise that what kidwell was saying had logic to it...it is true, people do rush to listen and COMMENT on juju. Why is it that you are commenting on him when you 'hate' him so much" hahahaha...ponce.

      Ed - 2012-02-20 11:05

PS: how does it help to BUILD relations by referring to 'us' and 'them"? how did your actions help anybody, other than to chip away at relations between all south africans...because that is what we all are.

      Nigel - 2012-02-20 11:09

makesuthink, thats a bit harsh, try to be nice!

  • Patrick - 2012-02-20 01:49

bow down to ur future, south africa!! bow down

  • louisdiemasjien - 2012-02-20 04:44

"...fight for the economic freedom of our people...". Less 'fighting' and maybe a little more 'working' would economically 'free' us. What I don't get is that there's no more apartheid, no more conscription and total freedom of speech. So what are we being liberated from?

  • Dylan Swanepoel - 2012-02-20 05:32

Is this a joke? Must be April fools

  • Blaine Dillon - 2012-02-20 06:22

He must move to New Zealand, after all he is an All Black supporter.

      Imvubu - 2012-02-20 06:52

You must be a raving lunatic to contaminate this beautiful country with something like Mamela.

  • raymond.kok3 - 2012-02-20 06:26

sydney you live in la la land if you really believe that malema spdeaks for the poor, he just want his hands on some of the minerals of the country please fire him for good and spare us the drivel that he spew everyday

  • Eduard - 2012-02-20 06:27

Malema, start your own party and show the ANC how it is done.....

  • Munchk1n - 2012-02-20 06:28

We should give malema a whole lot of grandpa's, hopefully that will dissolve the pain away.

  • Imvubu - 2012-02-20 06:44

It is the media's fault that Malema is still in the news. If they would ignore everything, even slightly connected to him he soon would be be a "has been" or has some of the SA press the same IQ level as this jerk.

      Nigel - 2012-02-20 10:59

wait until he is out of the ANC, he will be a nobody & he won't even make Limpopos headlines

  • malcolm - 2012-02-20 07:08

  • werner.smidt - 2012-02-20 07:32

OK, OK, bey bey... See you in 5 years time... When you have actually grown up...

  • Perfume - 2012-02-20 07:42

Juju has done absolutely nothing for the youth of South Africa - how many of the youth benefited from his tenders, businesses etc.

  • Pieter Beets - 2012-02-20 07:50

juju don't you get it...... YOU'RE FIRED. GOODBYE.

  • Nigel - 2012-02-20 07:50

so he is saying that he hasn't got the guts or leadership to live outside the ANC, i.e. he is a parasite living off the mother body & wouldn't survive one week outside.

  • anthro45 - 2012-02-20 08:35

Julius, I know you don't understand the concept of being a moron. So I'm going to say it in plain words. YOU ARE DUMBER THAN AN APE.

      Lynton - 2012-02-21 14:56

You could even replace ape with any word you could think of and that statement would hold true...try it hehe :)

  • tummi.malesa - 2012-02-20 08:56

Im still waiting for the plan From the ANCYL on how excatly are they going to liberate us economically cause all i have seen is them being liberated especially the executives but the people who put them there are still Poor as ever.

      Perfume - 2012-02-20 09:35

      Well said!

      Nigel - 2012-02-20 10:57

he has no plan, he watches the news, gets an ideas from situations in Lybia, Syria, Zimbabwe, or another dictatorships or failed states & then goes to Winnie to put a 30 year old outdated spin on the idea , adds a dash of popularist rhetoric & a sprinkling of racism & anti-west\capitalist intolerance, then finds the first stage with a microphone & TV camera to vomit his poison.

      Deon - 2012-02-20 16:11

They are "liberating" us all economically from our money but don't share much.

      Perfume - 2012-02-20 14:22

      @SiphoMalele...lmao!!!!!

  • ludlowdj - 2012-02-20 09:08

If nothing else Julie-ass Male-enema has learnt how to lie from the mother body. Amazing how his fight suddenly becomes the fight of the youth league, its like the ANC saying that white stole South Africa from the blacks which as Mulder has stated and which can be confirmed by historical records is an ANC generated lie, promoted and retold by the black leadership to the point that the masses believe it, The ANC and its support structure are nothing more than a clear and p[resent danger to the future of South Africa as a viable democracy.

  • guyt1 - 2012-02-20 09:18

  • Lelo - 2012-02-20 09:32

The only thing that these boys have done is liberate themselves at the expense of us tax payers. So much money has been lost and unaccounted for.I am youth and I sure as hell will not fight for rubbish.

      SiphoMalele - 2012-02-20 10:19

      I is also youth.

  • Philip - 2012-02-20 09:54

"Liberation of our people" Uhhhmmm... and what people would that be fatboy? South africa is the only country in the world where affirmative action is FOR the majority THAT HAS political power! It's a joke! not only is he a racist, he is now turning on "his people" too... what a hateful idiot! He needs to catch a wake up, you don't bite the hand that feeds you. threatening the government isn't going to change a thing. No amount of toy-toying and burning stuff will make a difference. standing and screaming at everything just makes you look more like an idoit!!!

    Ape!!!!!

  • Joel - 2012-02-20 10:21

I am just amazed at how fast asleep some people are. Julius malema is definitely not the enemy and he is clearly not the source of the country's problems. if there is a problem it is right at the top of the ANC and government. I know many are looking for a scapegoat and Julius is the convenient one. The blind hatred, uninformed comments on this young man, who is obviously not perfect just boggle the mind. These country's problems cannot be reduced to one young: Julius Malema. Julius Malema is actually part of the solution, stupid! I am not talking nationalisation and the related which will never work in this country anyway and will definitely reduce the country to basket case. Many white people are opposed to communism, not only because of its disastrous economic consequences and gross violations of human rights but also because of the way it ridicules faith in God. Yet white people made the mistake of thinking that apartheid is the solution. Now that South Africa is free, many of those who supported apartheid seem to be doing everything in their power to support a Communist takeover in South Africa. You just have to read between the lines and see that Jacob Zuma and Gwede Mantashe have actually moved the ANC closer to communists. Call it communist bashing, but one cannot be naive and ignore the real danger of an SACP goivernment led by Blade Nzimande taking over. Julius malema is fighting to stop the takeover of the ANC by Communists. Wake up!

      David - 2012-02-20 10:27

  • reza.daniels1 - 2012-02-20 10:31

Malema is not corrupt they gave him the money through trust accounts that they have advise him to open. You people are racist you not even talking about all those Indians that surround Zuma. All of you are ignoring the real issues and your focus is on Malema. Jealousy.
