Gauteng ANCYL secretary to face hearing

2012-06-05 09:20

Johannesburg - Suspended Gauteng ANC Youth League secretary Ayanda Kasa-Ntsobi will face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday, the league said.

Provincial chairperson Lebogang Maile said the league would provide more information on the hearing later on Tuesday.

"This is an internal matter and we cannot comment. We will release a statement later on," he said.

Kasa-Ntsobi said she would appear before the league's disciplinary committee on Monday morning.

"This will be the first appearance, and afterwards we will be in a better position to explain why this is happening," she said.

Kasa-Ntsobi was suspended from the league on May 13.

"What I can say is that my suspension was a decision taken by the PEC (provincial executive committee), which I am a part of and whose decisions I respect," she said.

"I will humble myself, and show that no one can be unaccountable, even the provincial secretary of the ANC Youth League."

Suspend him on full pay for 5 or 6 years during which time he can be investigated fully, if they can find enough corruption on him then surely he should given a higher position or moved to the main ANC where he can better use his skills.

  • nigel.burgess.52 - 2012-06-05 10:01

Is there any department in the ANC that is actually working normally? Any department actually doing something for our country rather than just defending themselves in court and disciplinary hearings?

      Tax - 2012-06-05 10:04

      Yes...SARS.

      nigel.burgess.52 - 2012-06-05 10:30

You're right. I agree SARS is one. Any others?

      Tax - 2012-06-05 11:01

None that I can think of. I must add that although SARS works normally (yet selectively as in Jujus case) they dont do much for the country...
