Magwaza-Msibi introduces NFP to Zulu king
Durban - NFP leader Zanele Magwaza-Msibi on Monday officially introduced her party to King Goodwill Zwelithini in Nongoma.
“Our leader presented our party to the king today. She had a delegation of about 50 people,” said National Freedom Party spokesperson Zanele Cele.
Magwaza-Msibi had wanted to present her party to Zwelithini before the May 18 local government elections but the king was not available, she said.
The NFP was formed in January mainly by former Inkatha Freedom Party leaders who left the IFP following a fall-out over who should lead the party.
The NFP contested the local government elections and won Nongoma and Edumbe municipalities.
It gained four more municipalities after it entered into a coalition with the ANC to form councils in hung municipalities.
