Malema lashes out at Zuma

2012-06-16 10:14

Johannesburg - Former ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema has labelled President Jacob Zuma a tribalist, dictator and an angry man, SABC radio reported on Saturday.

"But comrades you must know the real man, the man for his own family, the man who has no interest for his own people, the man for his tribe...the man whom we said was a unifier, the ANC today is more divided," he said at a rally in Thohoyandou, Limpopo, on Friday night.

Malema was expelled from the ANC for unfavourably comparing Zuma's leadership style to that of former president Thabo Mbeki, and for remarks on bringing about regime change in Botswana.

Malema on Friday said Zuma should not be re-elected for a second term.

"What is the legacy of President Zuma? His legacy is that of being interrelate to the youth, is that of expelling those who disagree with him.

"Why is President Zuma reshuffling every day - it is because his choices are not good. He is exposing himself nobody is exposing him..."

Malema warned ANC Zuma supporters that one day Zuma would turn against them.

There is one main dividing factor, and it is this man.

      yar.wellnofine - 2012-06-16 10:44

I Disagree Tony There are far more dividing factors. Juju is not that special, he just can't shut up. My guess that he will speak cr@p from the grave, if we are lucky enought to get him there.

      paul.coetzee1 - 2012-06-16 10:53

Tony. Juliaarse has well and truly burnt his last bridge now. There is no way the Pres is going to spring him from jail.

      marion.friedenthal - 2012-06-16 11:18

Are you back vuvuzela? Don't forget that you stood side by side with Zuma throughout his court cases and punted him for president. Just as you will punt for someone else to be president and then do your best to oust him/her at the first opportunity. Past behaviour predicts future behaviour. Please, I beg you, just go away and milk your cows.

      sean.bagley.50 - 2012-06-16 11:26

I can now see why the Italians love his fat arse.

      CharlesDumbwin - 2012-06-16 11:35

I wish someone would shut this little Malema tsotsi up now, once and for all. Go back to the Congo tsotsi !!!

      liana.loots - 2012-06-16 11:52

But isn't it the truth....Zuma is a greedy and weak man and not worth the backside of a donkey

      keith.f.murphy - 2012-06-16 12:04

Tony are you also a brainless idiot

      Jessica - 2012-06-16 13:47

I agree with Juju... Zuma mustn't be reelected. We cant endure another term with Zuma in office.

      mc.tyandre - 2012-06-16 14:13

      JUJU you are right !!

      Boer - 2012-06-16 23:05

Looks like the ANC is in real trouble. Somethings crumbeling. HHaaaaaaaaa.

      pitso.dlungwana - 2012-06-17 08:21

malema was earning R25 000 pm how come he built R16 m house in sandton, he steal from poor people , he must go n jump or hand himself

      henryian73 - 2012-06-17 09:50

I'm totally for redress and my hope for our country is to see all its people live in peace and prosperity. I do however have a big problem with the ANC and ANCYL. Malema was also never interested in helping the poor. He was Zumas puppet and it was all about his own back pocket. Soon it will be Kill for Tokyo. All about money again for own gain and again using the poor. Fact also remains that not every white person in this country is criminal and a thieve and not all land just stolen and taken by force. History also teaches us of many other treaties and trade agreements that also happened. Industry in South Africa also only started happening in South Africa with the arrival of these settlers the ANCYL soooo hate and is spreading so much lies about and if not for white and black our country wouldn't have been the most developed in Africa. So the sooner a lot of these guys get some history lessons the better. I also think that there should have been more public debates on many issues in South Africa but we all know the ANC and ANCYL culture has changed under Zuma and Malema. I do however see the DA picking up on the ANC promises of A Better Life for All where the ANC failed us ALL and soon and very soon will liberate us ALL from what has become the most corrupt government South Africa has ever seen so at least not to worried about our future and is there a glimmer of hope thanks to Zille, Miss Masibuko, MMusi Maimane, Patricia de Lille, Sizwe Mchunu, Wilmot James etc,etc

      Fidel - 2012-06-17 17:55

@Henry I am not particularly party politically inclined but your post made the hair on my back stand up. It is South Africans like you who are the jewels of this country. +1000 recommends!

      merven.halo - 2012-06-18 08:55

@pitso.dlungwana: sadly the majority of ANCYL members are not as clever as you, so they will never realize it until it is too late.

      Christopher - 2012-06-18 09:24

2 faced pr**K! You are a minimi zuma in the making...

      tugwana.gwalagwala - 2012-06-18 13:57

He'll only fool the blind. Who does he think we are. Just because he failed to manipulate Zuma now he's a bad man all of a sudden. What did Malema smoke or drink when he said he'd kill for Zuma? That says a lot about him!!!

      mihaip007 - 2012-06-18 14:04

so - would NOW the malema supports SEE that he was WRONG all along in supporting the Spear??? If I were a malema supporter I wouldn't trust his mind judgement about ANYONE he says that should be a president! But again - I have brains....lol

      Azande - 2012-06-16 11:28

I hear you guys, but if i were to be given one from two choices, give zuma the second term or to let malema come back, i'd choose the latter.

      collen.masetla - 2012-06-16 11:36

      downwiththeANC - 2012-06-16 12:38

would still choose Zuma over Malema....Malema still wants to nationalise everything whilst Zuma opposes it.

      Schmee - 2012-06-18 09:59

No don't slit your wrists yet. Malema is just saying what people want to hear him say because he is hoping for an audience. He was the cause of a lot of the division. Zuma is the lesser of the two evils unfortunately not by far though.

  • boltonbarry - 2012-06-16 10:24

I wonder if some "mysterious" "third force" is going to intervene in the life of Mr. Malema ????

      Alf - 2012-06-16 10:38

In the ANC and Malema context it is more a "turd" force! Pay the clown and he will say anything you want him to say!

      marion.friedenthal - 2012-06-16 11:33

@mikey.soulz.5 - just as you all put the wrong man on the throne with Mbeki. Just as they will put the wrong man on the throne after Zuma. Turncoats the lot of you.

      Jacqui - 2012-06-16 12:04

Mikey, please make sure you put the right man on the throne this time. So far all you have done is f*ck up.

      chaapo.sithole - 2012-06-17 13:51

More like putting the wrong party on the throne - bunch of looters who are turning on each other because for Malema the days at the trough are over. There is nothing altruistic about his rant.

      Dee - 2012-06-17 19:41

Mikey : In the African continent examples - I wish we would rather look at putting the right WOMAN on the throne. Cast your eyes to the rebuilding efforts of e.g. Liberian and Malawian presidents, and look at the strength and integrity of MANY of the female leaders in this country. There is female Zuma in govt who I would prefer to see in presidency than the male Zuma. And guess who got Gold, Silver and Bronze positions in the latest 'clean effective governance' ratings...

      merven.halo - 2012-06-18 09:00

'I wish we would rather look at putting the right WOMAN on the throne.' Not very clever Dee, which woman in the ANC is leader material? The population will choose Winnie, and then it is game over for SA. The only difference is, where men spend the tax payers money on cars and whiskey the ladies will spent it on clothes and shoes.

  • marlene.vorster2 - 2012-06-16 10:36

  • francois.faber - 2012-06-16 10:38

  • Phelamanga - 2012-06-16 10:51

Get rid of the whole rotten bunch and scour the organisation for leaders, or keep the same leaders, bring Juju back, and let the organisation begin to feast on itself. It's time to move on from revolutionary politics and move towards the politics of governing and administration. To continually talk about revolution only means that each revolution has to be ended in another revolution. Such thinking leads to instability and the deaths of millions. South Africa does not need this now. We need good governance, good administration and good policies that deal with present challenges, and not the challenges of an ideology that stems from the dark days of the Soviet empire. The DA is doing exactly what SA needs.

      BulletProof. - 2012-06-16 11:41

How unfortunate it is how other ppl still segregate other ppl on the basis of their tribal origins 4getting we are the rainbow nation. This goes a long way to prove how some Zulu ppl look at other black ppl in this country. It will b no an accident that Malema will return, Zuma was thrown out of the NEC n the same province most Zulus hate 2day brought him back 2 politics n power. ANC belongs 2 no one, mantashe n blade r parasites sowing division within the ANC. COPE did little 2 the anc but the movement of the ppl that will cum will send the ANC 2 the graveyard.

      Ingadi - 2012-06-18 03:51

dumb pedi's should be leaders everywhere, i hope they rule the homelands of the zulu whatahotnot knows how many dumb rape they gonna make to try and stay in power

  • Charnelle - 2012-06-16 11:26

  • Erna - 2012-06-16 11:27

Not so long ago Malema wanted to kill for Zuma, now he would like to kill Zuma! And they want us to trust them.

      Cuteandbronzed - 2012-06-17 00:27

I know right like, malema needs to make up his mind, like what are we supposed to do, dislike or hate Zuma

      wiscoh - 2012-06-17 10:49

Malema wanted 2kill 4Zuma...Same old boring statement...

      Sharon - 2012-06-17 18:19

@ blackyoungandangry - from your comments you seem a lot more intelligent than malema,so why do you need him to think for you.man up and make your own decisions

  • Luvo - 2012-06-16 11:35

I tend to agree with the person who said that Malema is not obsessed with the media, it is the media that is obsessed with Malema. This unfortunately ends up cheapening reputable news sources. Time to stop this obsession and let Malema fade out of the spotlight.

      wiscoh - 2012-06-17 10:55

its abwt combination of many thngs..the fact that u commenting abwt malema stories, shows that he is still relevant, make many people want to read the newspaper...Is not abwt certain people hating Malema.

      Sharon - 2012-06-17 18:22

@wiscoh - malemas relevance is like having a bad case of piles, they irritate the hell out of you and sometimes p--s you off, other than that a quick operation will cure them, zoomer was the surgeon

  • collen.masetla - 2012-06-16 11:35

Now roooooooaaaaarrrrr young lion rrrrrrooooooooaaaar, this is the young lion from the north side always hitting it on the nail. Now we hear in the last heated NEC meeting the word dictator came in many times. Remember who fisrt mentioned it? Now we hear nationalisation tops the agenda at our next policy conference, remember who pushed hard for it to be there? blade and buti manamela are just passengers while blade is even credited for being a newcomer in our movement with no impact but IFP tendencies. COME MANGAUNG THE YOUTHS WILL AGAIN HAVE THEIR FAVOURITE PRESIDENT. I DON'T SUPPORT zuma TOO.

      Cuteandbronzed - 2012-06-17 00:29

Me too hate that man, he looks greasy, why does Zuma look weird though? like has anybody noticed he looks well greasy, like he uses vaseline and baby oil on his face everymorning.

      Sharon - 2012-06-17 18:26

with your mentality and intelligence and malema as your leader your people will soon have to revert to canabilism because there will be nothing left in this country, grow a pair of balls and start thinking for yourselves

  • BulletProof. - 2012-06-16 11:35

I am happy to see people come together on this forum on the race issue, that means Malema is out definitly, next one.

  • Parys - 2012-06-16 11:38

Malema hates competition when it comes to enriching himself. This all that I can see in this whole sordid affair.

      Ingadi - 2012-06-18 03:58

Malema is as much a dumb african tribal as any of them. all of them has backwater african tendencies that give us hardship in the township. give him a cow, he happy, give him a RDP, he happy, give him a job, he happy, give him work, he unhappy. give him power to crook, he very happy.

  • dumine.jacobs - 2012-06-16 11:46

He may have a big mouth, but not everything he says is wrong.

      Sagin - 2012-06-16 12:22

I have never heard him say anything of substance. he is a racist and a self serving pig. In future be a bit wiser when you choose someone to look up to.

  • collen.masetla - 2012-06-16 12:07

LOL All those who think Malema is a fool because he once said he will kill for shower head and now he changed, YOU GUYS MUST BE MORONS OF A SPECIAL TYPE. You are saying to me you never fought or had disagreement with other people before and now they are your enemies. Don't you think Malema is a person too? Are you even aware that mbeki and zuma were close friends and mandela used to be with bantu holomisa most of the time while blade nzimande has IFP roots? tribalism, dictatorship, reshuffling because of wrong choices must be rooted out in the ANC.

      tshepochriss.mogapi - 2012-06-16 12:52

@Collen Masetla The thing is nobody said they will kill for anybody. You say things so you could line your pockets, that's what matters right: the people can always be bought; not Zuma, you can't buy him. There are other comrades you can buy,but then again pay your taxes first!

Malema must remember in politics is not about what a politician stands for. It is not about the idiology and what the individual politicians aspire for. It is about supporting powerful politician who posses power. Sometimes politician has to abandon his stand to support what he does n't stand for. In other words it is about the survival of the fittest. Politicians have to sacrafice their positions and what they represent to support other powerful politicians reason being to survive in difficult situations and to remain relevant to the environment. Mostly it is about bread on the table than remain in the cold hungry.
