Malema to visit Zimbabwe

2012-10-12 07:16

Johannesburg - Expelled ANC Youth League president Julius Malema will visit Zimbabwe on Friday, the Economic Freedom Fighters said.

Malema would meet "progressive forces in Zimbabwe" to discuss economic freedom, spokesperson Floyd Shivambu said in a statement on Thursday.

"During the visit, [Malema] will also attend the wedding of the deputy secretary general of the Pan African Youth Union and member of ZANU-PF Youth, Comrade Tendai Wenyika."

Malema would be accompanied by Shivambu and suspended ANCYL secretary general Sindiso Magaqa.

"Economic Freedom Fighters will forever associate with and interact with progressive forces across the country, the African continent and whole world and will never be ashamed," Shivambu said.

      heathway.master - 2012-10-13 12:11

Malema probably feels he needs a bit of a holiday before he is locked up for good behind bars.

      ansie.b.badenhorst - 2012-10-12 19:01

At the moment he is running the country (into the ground) Of course he should get prefferential treatment!

      aristar.aristary - 2012-10-13 13:48

Mainly because he can buy another passport on the street corner, so there is no point.

  • gary.doyle.520 - 2012-10-12 07:33

The thing is, News24 like the attention our blogging brings to their pages. If you read the other papers, as I do .......sometimes this reporting is way behind. Doesnt matter really, we enjoy venting here, eases our frustrations. Ne?

  • marlene.black.9809 - 2012-10-12 08:05

The only people with economic freedom in zim are Mugabe and his generals. Malema's affiliation with them makes his intentions very clear.

  • danny.levin.351 - 2012-10-12 08:05

How can a person who si out on bail be allowed to leave the country?? This scumbag should be in a cell, certainly not be allowed out of SA.

  • jurgen.eksteen - 2012-10-12 08:08

He is trying to flee ... as far as I know part of bail condition is that you are not allowed to leave the country.

  • warren.carne.9 - 2012-10-12 08:09

Economic Freedom Fighters? What a bunch of dickheads

  • danny.levin.351 - 2012-10-12 08:09

@mrtinyiko.matsambu, Malema and his ilk are actually the worst nightmare of all South Africans. (He and all the other corrupt thieves) However, those that suffer the most are the poor because the money stolen could and should have been used for their benefit. Why do you think that Hospitals are a shambles, kids go without Schoolbooks for a year etc? it is because people like malema steal the money that is meant for these things. sadly, morons like you are too dumb to understand it and see it. you are easily fooled by these id1iots.

Actually both bob and Julius are Christian .

      jennifer.d.martin.750 - 2012-10-12 08:30

No Raymond they are not. Calling yourself a doctor because you visit a hospital once in a while does not make you one. They are Bosluise!

      patrick.buckley.712 - 2012-10-12 13:14

Pure logic dictates that they are not atheist. Atheists are generally rather intelligent, unlike the: "because the bible tells me so" christian morons one finds. They are definitely christian!

      Dinesh - 2012-10-12 14:34

You are delusioned. These 2 people are Christians, the last time I checked.

      bruning.vankriekenbeek - 2012-10-13 13:07

What are this fools bail conditions? He is not allowed to travel outside SA? What a bloody circus. 1) Zim gets a HUGE loan from SA. 2) Zim buys a shutload of weapons and munitions.3) Malema goes to Zim. HKBGK!
