Maths results: Tell us more

Pretoria - It was unacceptable that Umalusi - the Council for Quality Assessment in General and Further Education and Training - did not disclose all issues surrounding the 2007 matric results, the Freedom Front Plus (FF Plus) said on Thursday.
Spokesman Andrew Gerber said that it was upsetting that pupils were not performing well in maths.
"It is upsetting that pupils performed badly in mathematics and that no further details regarding the bad performance and mark adjustment was being made available.
"For what reason is this being made public without all the facts being made available to the public?," asked Gerber.
This comes after the body, indicated that pupils were performing badly in the subject.
Umalusi approved the national examination results for senior certificate, ABET - adult basic education training - and VET - vocational education and training - as "consistent with policy".
"Complete information regarding this must be made available immediately or as soon as results are published," said Gerber.
