Mthethwa acting for Shiceka

2011-03-07 22:38

Cape Town - Police Minister Nathi Mthethwa has been appointed acting Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs Minister "until further notice", the ministry announced on Monday.

This was to allow Minister Sicelo Shiceka "time to attend to his recovery following a bout of illness", it said in a statement.

"The department appeals to all, including the media, to allow the minister and his family the respect and space to attend to what is undoubtedly a personal matter."

All ministry and department functions normally carried out by Shiceka would continue under Mthethwa's interim leadership, with the full support of Deputy Minister Yunus Carrim.

Mthethwa's acting responsibilities commenced on the February 24, the ministry said.

Uhm Sir the Finance Director is taking extended sick leave. No problem get the HR Director to take over that role. Also the head of IT is away for a month. Ok, get Bob from Marketing to handle that then. Seriously do we need any more confirmation that one needs absolutely NO skill set to 'manage' these areas.

      Felix - 2011-03-08 10:18

LOL! Bob was sucking at Marketing anyway.

Maybe all the money spent at the luxury hotels is catching up with him. Maybe the heavy bill at the hotels was for the Johnny walkers and french champaign and is now catching up with him. Or maybe the wheel is now turning on these ANC ministers one by one, You have stolen from the citizens of this country, its pay back time!!
