Restructuring plan to court?

Johannesburg - The Police and Prisons Civil Rights Union (Popcru) threatened on Sunday to go to court to try and stop police from going ahead with a "massive" restructuring plan, the SABC reported.
Part of the restructuring process requires for all police officers to re-apply for their positions.
Popcru said it would launch a court application next week, the broadcaster said.
The union's general secretary Abbey Witbooi said when they agreed to the restructuring plan, it was to do away with area offices and for services provided to be moved to the station level and increase capacity.
This includes specialised units, said Witbooi.
He said people who should have been affected were those working in area offices.
