SACP welcomes Limpopo dissolving

Johannesburg - Dissolving the Limpopo ANC provincial
executive committee (PEC) will strengthen the party, the SA Communist Party (SACP)
in the province said on Monday.
"This decision shows that the ANC has a capacity to
listen and respond accordingly to the working class and the rural masses’ call
for change and organisational renewal at every given moment," provincial
secretary Gilbert Kganyago said in a statement.
"The disbanded ANC PEC in Limpopo was a poor show of
the true values that the ANC represents."
ANC secretary general Gwede Mantashe on Monday said the
national executive committee decided to dissolve the PEC because of its
"un-ANC behaviour and institutionalised factional conduct".
The decision was taken at the NEC's three-day meeting in
Irene, south of Pretoria at the weekend.
Kganyago said the Limpopo PEC was characterised by
factionalism, corruption, and tenderpreneurship.
Dissolving the PEC marked the beginning of the process of
building a new cadre that served the working class.
"A cadre of this calibre is highly necessary to
champion good governance which must be corruption-free and deliver quality
services to the working class and the rural masses on time," he said.
