Slow voting start in Bloem

Bloemfontein - Voting got off to a slow start in Bloemfontein, Free State, on Wednesday although polling stations opened on time at 07:00.
Free State Premier Beatrice Marshoff cast her vote at a quiet Norman Doupel polling station in Heidedal at 07:20.
However, in Hani Park, Matjhabeng municipality, Welkom, it was a different story with queues from early morning.
In the Qwa-Qwa region, Independent Electoral Commission officials reported minor hiccups at the Harrismith town hall where ballot papers arrived late.
