Some ANC delegates sleep on buses

Bloemfontein - Some ANC delegates denied accreditation at the party’s elective conference in Mangaung were forced to sleep in buses on Saturday night after they were not issued with accommodation.

Given that almost every hotel room in the city is already occupied, the would-be delegates were left stranded.

The affected delegates were outraged at the perceived injustice of this treatment from their organisation.

“Look at how these capitalist leaders are staying and what they are driving, while we struggle,” said one delegate from Limpopo.

Another from the Western Cape, while preparing a makeshift sleeping spot in the bus that brought him to Mangaung from Cape Town, told NewsFire that “we are waiting for the leadership to address us and allocate accommodation to us, but in the meantime we will hang out here".
