"Register and vote. Listen to your instinct. You are a South African with freedom of choice. Choose." - Tannie Evita shares her thoughts on Agang, the EFF and voting.WATCH

Cape Town - The most famous white woman in South Africa, Evita Bezuidenhout, has spoken about how excited she is about the country's upcoming elections.

In a wide-ranging interview with News24, Bezuidenhout said she wanted to encourage people to "be excited about the fact that each one of us can change the future of our country for the better by using our vote sensibly".

She also urged voters to "do their homework" and not just vote for a party because they got a T-shirt or sausage roll.

Bezuidenhout also spoke about how the ANC will lose both votes and credibility because of Nkandla and how Julius Malema's EFF party had cleverly focused on branding, unlike Mamphela Ramphele's Agang SA.
