Zuma attending Commonwealth meeting
Pretoria - President Jacob Zuma arrived in Perth, Australia for the Commonwealth Heads of State and Government Meeting (CHOGM) on Thursday.
"The meeting will focus on food security, climate change, mining for development, polio eradication, sustainable development and strengthening the Commonwealth," said international relations spokesperson Clayson Monyela.
The meeting would also seek to promote democracy and human rights.
Monyela said Zuma would use the opportunity to hold bilateral discussions with other Commonwealth countries on matters of mutual interest.
The meeting, from Friday to Sunday, has the theme "Building National Resilience, Building Global Resilience".
Zuma was accompanied by International Relations and Co-operation Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane and Mineral Resources Minister Susan Shanbangu.
