Cape Town – First National Bank added the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S4 to its range of smartphones.

“New customers who switch to FNB can get the Samsung Galaxy S4 at a 16% discount with 24 months to pay. We have also included various data options in this deal to enable digital banking, and have included ‘voice’ to meet our client demand,” says Kartik Mistry, Head of Smart Devices at FNB's Core Banking Solutions.

New FNB customers who take up the Samsung S4 before the end of June 2013, will receive 100 minutes, 100 SMSes, 100MB of data as well as 1GB AlwaysOn Wifi Connectivity per month for 24 months.

They will also receive a Samsung Hub Voucher valued at R300 and a 35% discount on accessories which is an optional extra.

The price for the Samsung S4 is R299 per month, with zero additional fees, interest or charges.

Existing FNB clients can apply for the Samsung S4 before 30 June, and will receive a 35% discount on the phone cover.

Due to the high demand expected, initially stock will be limited.

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S4 at an event in Johannesburg at the Sandton Convention Centre on Friday evening.

The launch is intended to capitalise on the hype of the latest Galaxy S smartphone as the South Korean manufacturer seeks to extend its dominance as the de facto Android leader.
