Cape Town – MWEB Gaming has teamed up with international gaming product brand Razer, to re-open the Xbox Autumn Ladders for the Razer Black Ops 2 Super 8.

The Autumn Ladder Challenge will run from 11 April until 29 May, with the Super 8 Single Elimination on 8 June.

Razer is sponsoring some awesome prizes for the top 3 finishers in support of the Xbox 360 community: first place wins 4 Razer Sabertooth Controllers and 4 Razer Carcharias headsets, second place 4 Razer Carcharias headsets and third will take 4 Razer Sabertooth Controllers.

After the success of the Black Ops 2 Beta Ladder, there have been some tweaks to the Autumn Ladder, including a new rating system to calculate relative skill levels of the teams; mode and map rotation; combining Hardpoint, Capture the Flag and Search and Destroy into one match and limiting teams to 6 players.

The Super 8 will be made up of the teams that finish in the top 8 of the ladder at the close of play on 29 May 2013. These 8 teams will then compete in a single elimination tournament, with their positions providing seeding for the matches.

Gamers can watch the tournament live via the MWEB GameZone streaming page.

“After sending a team to the Call of Duty Championship to compete for a $1million prize pool, we are hoping that South African gamers are inspired to get in the game,” says Desmond Kurz, Online Gaming Manager at MWEB.
Registration closes on 10 April 2013.
