Date: 3 July 2014
Venue: Cape Town CBD
Time: 5 – 9 pm

Cape Town - Thursdays are what some call, the pre-Friday, the Warm-up, or Friday’s little sister- This is because what you decide (or not to) do on a Thursday night pretty much affects your weekend. So why not start it off with one of the coolest events Cape Town has ever seen, First Thursdays.

You get to explore Cape Town’s art galleries, stores and restaurants by night.

This is what you can expect to come across:
•    Amazing restaurants
•    Markets: SAM (South African Market) An exhibition of locally built bicycle frames
•    Live music
•    Galleries: The Cape Gallery, Mogalakwena Gallery, Lutge Gallery (and so much more).

What is particularly great about this event is the freedom you have to explore the different places on offer. Check out the map here to see the route,  choose a starting point and well, enjoy.

The site puts it like this: Whether you're an art historian or someone who has never stepped foot in a gallery, First Thursdays is an incredible way to experience the cultural wealth that this city has to offer.
