A kaleidoscope of colour, energy and dancing, the Colour Me Crazy festival is set to hit Bloemfontein. Initially only held in Cape Town and Johannesburg (what’s new), organisers decided to bring the colour to Bloemfontein.
The festival is split into two parts. The first part (for the determined folk) is a 5km fun run. The second part is the music festival which promises an epic dj line up, and some great music performances.

Oh and guess what? The event is open to all ages. It gets better: kids who are 6 and below get in for free.
What you need to know to make sure you’re well prepared for the festival:
1.    Please wear white. If you really want to experience the colour (from the powder) white clothing is the way to go.
2.    The powder is non-toxic coloured corn starch and is completely harmless.
3.    While the powder is harmless, it does take a few washes to get the colour out, so best you wear clothes that you don’t mind getting colourful.
4.    If you’re not in a rush to get the colour out, spray your clothes with vinegar and iron them to keep the colour.
5.    Bring protection for your eyes (sunglasses or goggles) and a bandana for your mouth.

If you want to get a glimpse of the amount of colour you will face, check out the official Colour Me Crazy website  to see how Cape Town and Joburg coloured up their lives.
