Oriental Dance Festival

When: Thursday, 25 - Sunday, 28th October 2012

Where: V&A Waterfront

Cost: R150

Times: 10am - 6pm 

This is a charity event in aid of the Saartjie Baartman Centre for (abused) Women and Children in Athlone, Cape Town with performers coming from Germany, Israel, Iraq, Spain, Indonesia, Argentina, Belgium and from all over South Africa.

Thursday, 25th October 2012:
Opening Gala Evening at the V&A Waterfront, The Nedbank BOE Auditorium, where you can enjoy performances by professional International and South African Oriental Dancers.

Friday, 26th October 2012:
Workshop day at V&A Waterfront, Clock Tower, where you can learn from world - best oriental dance teachers and performers

Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th October 2012:
Fringe Program at the V&A Waterfront. There are hundreds of belly dancers all dance levels, from beginner's to master, from all over the world performing. Performances begin at 10h00 and finish at 18h00, both days at the Moroccan Tent next to the Craft Market, Blue Shed.

There is also a Bazaar where you can buy dancing accessories, jewellers, costumes, food and many more presented by small businesses from South Africa.
