Cape Town:

Shakespeare in the Park

Open to 720 guests, Maynardville open-air theatre presents Shakespearean production, the Tragedy of King Richard III for the first time. 
Those inclined for drama will enjoy the story as it unfolds with plots in secret, politics and plays on power.  Also showcased at the open-air theatre is The Firebird; a ballet performed by members of the Cape Town City Ballet. 
Hunters Extreme Ultimate X 2014 festival

The Hunters Extreme Ultimate X 2014 festival, recognized as South Africa’s premier action sporting event, is set to be the hub for action sport athletes all over the world.

Hands on Harvest Wine Festival

Date: Sat, 1 February until 30 March 2014
Venue: Robertson’s Wine Valley ( 160km from Cape Town)

This festival takes you through the intricate art of wine making. You will have the chance to stomp grapes, take leisurely trips through the vineyards by tractor on horseback and also have a picnic which promises to end one of your days off on a high note.

Franschhoek summer wines festival

Locrate Market (Soweto)

The Locrate Market has created something so beautifully perfect that it almost doesn't seem real. This market will be taking place on the corner of Kudu and Moema street in Orlando West, Soweto. Expect food, craft beer, great music, and a chance to buy some beautiful art and crafts.

Chinese New Year

Colour Me Eston Run

Date: Saturday 1 Feb 2014
Venue: Beaumont Eston Farmers Club in Eston

The Colour-me Eston 5km run, inspired by the US "Colour Run" will not only celebrate health, happiness but will also be giving back to the community as all proceeds will go towards Eston Primary School. Runners will be covered in powder for every km of the race as they make their way to the finish line. This will then be followed by a colour festival where you can use as much colour powder as you would like.

A kaleidoscope of colour, energy and dancing, the Colour Me Crazy festival is set to hit Bloemfontein. Initially only held in Cape Town and Johannesburg (what’s new), organisers decided to bring the colour to Bloemfontein.
The festival is split into two parts. The first part (for the determined folk) is a 5km fun run. The second part is the music festival which promises an epic dj line up, and some great music performances.
