World's scariest runways

Take offs and landings are always a little scary. Some more so than others. Take a look at these 10 spine-chilling landing strips around the globe.

London - An Alaskan airport has closed an aircraft access route because of a flaw with Apple's Maps app.

BBC reports that in the past three weeks two motorists had driven along Fairbanks International Airport's taxiway and across one of its runways.

Apparently the map app had directed users along the taxiway but did not specifically tell them to drive onto the runway.

The firm has now issued a temporary fix, telling users that directions are not available rather than showing the earlier route.

The company has gotten a lot of flack for previous map issues, and after buying up several map applications, CEO Tim Cook has promised that Apple is "doing everything we can to make Maps better."
