Johannesburg – Passengers who had booked seats on board an Air France flight from Joburg to Paris have been stranded at OR Tambo Airport since Saturday evening after their flight was delayed with no explanation.

Beeld reports that Air France flight AF995 was supposed to depart from OR Tambo Airport at 19:30 on Saturday evening, but that by 03:00 on Sunday morning the flight was still delayed with no explanation to the approximately 500 passengers.

The airline arranged for accommodation at surrounding hotels and by 05:00 on Sunday morning, passengers were told that the flight would depart on Monday morning at 03:30.

By 10:00 on Monday morning the flight had still not departed and furious passengers had started queuing at Air France’s information desk at OR Tambo airport.
