Kenya Airways ups Johannesburg flights

2012-10-31 11:45
Kenya Airways has announced that it will increase its flights between Johannesburg and Nairobi with the introduction of four additional flights per week, starting December 1. The introduction of the new flights will increase capacity on the route by 384 seats.

Tourism Update reports that Rosemary Adogo, Kenya Airways regional manager for Southern and East Africa, said that the decision was made as a result of feedback from customers seeking more flexibility with connecting flights to other parts of Africa, the Far East and Europe.

The additional frequencies between Johannesburg and Nairobi have been made possible by the recent acquisitions of Embraer E190 jets that will service the route. The aircraft offers a two-class service, offering 84 seats in economy class and 12 business class seats.

The additional flights will depart from Nairobi every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 12h10 and arrive at OR Tambo International Airport at 15h15. The return flights will depart on the same days at 16h10, arriving at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 21h15.
