The African Travel & Tourism Association (Atta), has signed a strategic partnership with South African Airways (SAA), Tourism Update reports.

Through the partnership, Atta will work with SAA to strengthen relationships with the buyers and suppliers of African tourism not only in the UK and Europe, but through all routes that can bring tourism to Africa. Atta will also promote SAA at all its events and exhibitions around the world.

Gregg Truman, SAA's Vice President of Marketing in USA, said the desire from SAA is to have an inclusive relationship with both SAA in the UK and the US, which is available to Atta as the organisation grows and targets wider markets across the globe. He says this will allow Atta to access key managers within the airline in additional markets.

"Atta's wide reach across the buyers and suppliers of African product fits perfectly with our purpose to facilitate relationships across the tourism industry and support travel to Africa," said Kershaw.
