SAA upgrades Voyager

SAA is working on the final touches to its new and improved customer relationship managements system, ironing out the last few issues since the system was introduced in October.
Tourism Update reports that the aim of the new system is to improve the Voyager members' experience and provide additional functionality. According to Manoj Papa, SAA head of market SA & Voyager, complaints, suggestions and survey feedback received from the airline's members over the last few years indicated that an information technology upgrade had become necessary.
Additional functions now possible on SAA's website include upgrades using miles, purchasing top-up miles, donating miles to charity (Reach for a Dream Foundation), processing lost membership card replacement, and processing missing miles on all Star Alliance partner airlines for those not automatically loaded 14 days after the flight date.
As a programme enhancement, Voyager members will no longer be charged expediting fees for late bookings and award requests.
Airport taxes and service fees for ticketing at the airport still apply, however a service fee no longer applies when issuing the Voyager Credit Card Companion Award Ticket.
