Football fans freak out on flight as captain announces Argentina's victory

2014-07-11 10:51

Missing your national team's biggest match of the year because you're on a flight could really suck. But not for these Argentina fans and their kind captain.WATCH

Cape Town - Missing your national team's biggest match of the year because you're on a flight must really suck.

Not being able to share the nail-biting moments with fellow fans in your local bar, or even better the stadium, not being able to get live updates.

Gah! It's the worst!

However, a bunch of Argentinians on board a flight on Wednesday night got to celebrate their team's victory, thanks to a super switched on captain who announced the news at 35 000 feet.

Watch as the entire aircraft erupts into a fit of cheers.

It must have been a pretty terrifying moment for the non-football fans on board!
