Cape Town - Last year we asked readers to share their favourite view from a plane's window seat with us. We got a whole lot of amazing contributions, however nothing quite like this video we recently came across.

A Cobham Aviation aircraft had to make an emergency landing at Perth airport on Tuesday morning after an engine caught fire shortly after takeoff and Brad McCoy, one of the passengers aboard, managed to capture a terrifying video of the incident.

Check out the video here

He originally posted the video to Facebook, with they wry caption: "Part of my first plane crash."

The plane, which was bound for Barrow Island, fortunately managed to land safely, undoubtedly giving all aboard a new lease on life.

What is the most terrifying thing you've ever experienced while flying? Tell us in the comment section below or send us a photo to pics@news24travel.com
