China celebrates the start of the Year of the Snake with a week full of festivities.

United Kingdom - While the rest of the world has already packed away their festive season decorations, the Chinese community prepares to celebrate the coming of their new year, the year of the horse. 

The Chinese calendar runs of a 12-year cycle, allocating an animal for each one-year cycle. As this year marks the year of the horse, a 15-day celebration will be set in place, involving dance, music, parades, traditional rituals, ceremonies and lots of fireworks. 

In order to ensure that you’re not excluded from this global event, Barrington Freight has designed a helpful infographic outlining the annual two week celebrations, starting from 31 January 2014.
