Amsterdam's oldest prostitutes retire

Amsterdam - A famous set of twins, believed to be Amsterdam's longest-serving prostitutes, have retired after more than 50 years in the business.
TimesLive reports that Louise and Martine Fokkens, 70, claim to have slept with more than 355 000 men between them in the combined 100 years they have spent working.
However, the pains of getting old, combined with a changing community have forced the two to leave the industry for good.
Arthritis has apparently been plaguing Louise, making some of her work too painful, and both admit that attracting new clients doesn't come as easy as it used to.
The twins became prostitutes as teens in order to escape violent relationships and are famous for wearing matching outfits, usually red dresses while working.
The duo fondly recalled the golden era of prostitution in Amsterdam that existed before the trade was legalised.
They became famous as the subject of last year's documentary called Meet the Fokkens and they have just finished work on a book, The Ladies of Amsterdam.
The twins said they hope to be able to live off their earnings from the book and film rights.
