Hollywood actor tells of tragic airplane romance

2014-01-17 11:01
Cape Town - If you’re a romantic and single, you will know what sort of allure flights seem to hold.

There’s always that vague hope that you might end up sitting next to some attractive, funny, interesting individual who will obviously end up being your future spouse.

Don’t be shy. It’s a fantasy the best of us harbour… even Hollywood actors.

Okay, well, Hollywood actors like Jonah Hill.

He recently appeared on the Graham Norton show, where he told, what Gawker has called ‘the most tragic airplane romance story of all time.’

“I’m a romantic and when I was 18 – 12 years ago - I flew on a plane and I sat next to a beautiful girl my age and I was excited because in my romantic mind that was going to be my wife and I thought we were going to fall in love,” the two-time Academy Award Nominee started his tale.

He continued telling Norton, fellow guests (Carey Mulligan, Robert De Niro, and Sylvester Stallone) and the audience how everything was going well and that the two of them really hit it off until a trip to the bathroom changed everything.

See what happened by skipping to the 1-minute mark on the video below.
