Planning your best friend's wedding or are you the better half of a couple planning to get hitched soon, that has the toaster, wine glasses and dinner set covered?
If so you, then you need to check out Wanderable, one of the companies featured at a 500 Startups event in Mountain View, California, according to Skift.com.
Founded by Stanford University grads Marcela Miyazawa, CEO, and Jenny Chen, CTO, Wanderable enables would-be newlyweds to create gift registries to get wedding guests or non-attendees to chip in via PayPal for plane tickets, hotel stays, car rentals, tours, champagne, chocolate-dipped fruit trays — almost anything.
An Wanderable registry example looks something like this...
It sure beats having to return that Lenox dinnerware set or those Faberge wine glasses back to the store.
And, you get to craft your own honeymoon/vacation of a lifetime.
Wanderable currently offers a free basic registry, which enables you to upload your own images, add details about the big day, feature integrated payments and monitor thank you cards.
A $39 (about R320 at R8.18/$) premium honeymoon registry includes all the features of the basic registry, plus a choice of 28 themes, a Pinterest-like design (of course) and gift cards.
PayPal transaction fees for people paying for parts of your desired itinerary etc. are 2.9% and Wanderable has a credit card system with fees of 2.8%.
Sounds so devine some of you married folk are propably considering renewing your wedding vows just to be make use of it, arent' you!?
