Oh let’s use a picture of a giraffe to represent Ghana in the World Cup because Africa

Cape Town – In case you haven’t been up to speed with everything World Cup related, one of the most epic games so far was definitely Monday's match between Ghana and USA.

To cut the 90 minute game short, the USA won, with a final score of 2 goals, while Ghana scored 1.

Parts of the world celebrated this, while, many who rooted for the Ghanaian Black Stars were disappointed.

A particular American airline, Delta, took to social media to congratulate the American soccer team.

This is what the tweet looked like:

Ghana’s national symbol is the eagle by the way, Delta Airlines. Also, giraffes are hardly found in Ghana, so what's the deal?

They eventually apologised...

But were AGAIN called out for adding the word “precious”, which hinted some attitude.

Try again Delta (apology take two) :
Sigh. Ignorant stereotypical views of Africa. When will they end?
