Hilarious signs from around the world

Signs are meant to put certain messages across but sometimes things get a bit confused, with hilarious consequences. Take a look.

Everyone loves a good wacky sign.

Whether it's an intentionally hilarious warning next to the road or an accidental translation error, there are few things that entertain as thoroughly.

Canadian snowboarder, Sebastian Toutant found one such giggle-worthy toilet sign at the Sochi Winter Olympics and shared it with his 17 000+ followers, setting in motion a wave of humorous tweets and social media quips.

The sign shows various ways in which toilets are NOT to be used (shockingly enough you're not allowed to vomit, it seems?!), with the illustration bottom left - a figure seemingly fishing from the toilet bowl - causing the most confusion.

Toutant fans and followers from across the world have been pondering the meaning behind the toilet fishing sign and wondering whether it is, in fact something people regularly do in the Russian city?

Well you never know!

So, while you're trying to figure that one out, take a look at Toutant's tweet and a few of the funny responses:
