PICS: A sneak peek at the Thailand adventures of 'Zebra and Giraffe'

2014-06-12 15:15
Cape Town - While you may think celeb travel is all glitz and glam, a duo of local spotlight darlings have been sharing pics of a Thailand adventure that may give you a different view.

Liezel van der Westhuizen and Jen Su, both celebrated radio personalities, television presenters and emcees, recently jetted off to Thailand to celebrate a friend's birthday.

Going by the humerous moniker of 'Zebra and Giraffe' (because she's so tall, Liezel's nickname has always been giraffe and we guess they may be paying tribute to a local band of the same name too), the two have been sharing pics of their adventures - complete with suitable animal mascots - proving that, really, celeb travel is not THAT different from the way we do things.

Of course there are the glam party shots and the well-groomed selfies, but apart from that, they also spent some time exploring the famous sites and attractions of Bangkok... just like any other traveller would.

And, being an eager cyclist, Liezel also used the opportunity to hop on a bike.

While it seems like Jen is off to her next destination, Hong Kong, Liezel is still travelling around Thailand, spending some time in popular beach resort, Phuket.

Seeing them having such a good time in Thailand should also serve as a comfort to travellers heading there soon, considering the recent coup

Check out a few of their pics below:

It even seems like Liezel has perfected the solo traveller selfie... kind of like that guy who shot a music video on an overnight delay, using only his iPhone, at Las Vegas airport.
