Cape Town - Today’s Photo of the Day is from News24 Travel reader, Morkel Erasmus. His photo captures elephants along the Chobe River in Botswana.

The Chobe River runs along the northern border of Botswana and meeting the Zambezi . The Chobe National Park rests on its banks and is home to a huge number of herbivores, especially elephant.  The wide banks and  grass attract plains game of all sorts; of particular interest are the swamp antelope and red lechwe.

Morkel Erasmus is quite versatile as he is a nature photographer, industrial engineer, and blogger (amongst other awesome things).
