This News24 reader questions the new rules for travelling with children.

"I have a big problem with this. My parents live in Namibia. I have to apply for the unabridged birth certificates in Kroonstad at the home affairs office. They however told me the certificates can take 4 to 6 months, even a year!!! They cannot print the certificates and the certificates are printed in Pretoria. I, however must apply with Kroonstad since it is my regional office. A friend of mine waited 6 months last year for her two children's certificates. Now I would like to know whether I won't be able to visit my parents for the next year until they decide to print my kids' certificates!!!!! It is absolutely ridiculous. All my kids have valid passports for which both me and my husband had to go to home affairs to apply for!!! I do not think they really thought this through. Groete Dorothy"
