Yes, that's right. Even condoms have succumbed to the online check in trend.

According to an article on Matador Network, Planned Parenthood has released a batch of 55 000 barcoded condoms in Western Washington earlier this year, as part of a safe sex initiative that aims to connect with " a generation of over-sharing, check-in obsessed millennials."

When snapped with a smartphone camera, these barcodes direct users to a website called Wheredidyouwearit.com where they can provide an approximate location (no addresses revealed), gender, age, and the details of their hookup.

The couples can even share the most intimate details about their experience, such as why they decided to use a condom and what it was like.

Since the campaign started in February, Planned Parenthood has noticed that young people have been checking in from Seattle to Brazil. While most of the check-ins are made by 20-somethings, 30- and 40-somethings aren't holding back either.

A similar website called the Condom Tester Program was launched in Brazil a couple of years ago, on which users can pin the location of their hook-ups and even their favourite sex positions. When the website hosted a competition for a year's supply of free condoms, it sparked a registration of 10 000 users and 3000 stories.
