Cape Town - Located just an hour away from Cape Town, the Arabella Golf Course in Kleinmond has been named the number one Golf course in the Western Cape.

Not only that, Arabella has also been named one of South Africa’s Top5 courses by Golf Digest’s biennial ratings.

The golf course is part of the 5-star Arabella Hotel & Spa (which forms part of the luxury African Pride Hotels collection) and has just undergone a R10 million upgrade that includes a redesign of 7 holes, and the installation of a state-of-the-art irrigation system. Read all about the upgrade here.

Arabella's 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course has continuously been ranked in South Africa’s top 5 and was built and designed by top golf course architect Peter Matkovich.

Danny Bryer, Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue for African Pride Hotels, said many celebrities and golfers appreciate not only the birds, wildlife, pristine nature but also enjoy the challenging greens, bunkers, and water hazards.

The Hospitality Property Fund (HPF) owns the hotel and golf course. The investment in the course upgrade and at the hotel demonstrates the company’s commitment to maintaining world class standards across the property and its commitment to the economic prosperity of the Kleinmond region.

The golf course and 5-star hotel, surrounded by the Kogelberg biosphere reserve and Bot River Lagoon, make for a challenging round of golf and the perfect place to unwind off the course, alongside the pool or in the award-winning spa.
