City Sightseeing offers two days of fun

2012-12-28 08:29
MWant to make the most of your festive season break in Cape Town?  Check out City Sightseeing Cape Town, the first carbon neutral bus company in South Africa, offers some budget beating fun for the entire family.

Who knew R250 could bag so much Sightseeing fun. This 2-Day ticket (R220 if you purchase your ticket online) lets you do the following:

Day 1 – Hop on board the double decker City Sightseeing bus for the Red City Tour which takes you to 18 great stops around the City – including the Two Oceans Aquarium, Table Mountain and The Castle of Good Hope (to name but a few).

Then upon your return, climb aboard the City Sightseeing Canal Cruise for a nautical adventure before embarking on the unique City Sightseeing Night Tour, which stops at Signal Hill to watch the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean.  (The Canal Cruise, normally R30, and the Night Tour, normally R100, are included free on your 2-Day City Sightseeing ticket.)

Day 2 – You will once again hop onto the City Sightseeing bus for the Blue Mini Peninsula Tour.  This scenic tour takes you to 14 stops around the Peninsula, including Kirstenbosch, Mariner’s Wharf and World of Birds.  It also includes a free Wine Tour that takes you to three beautiful wine farms in the historical Constantia Valley – Beau Constantia, Groot Constantia and Eagles’ Nest.

Then upon your return, why not take advantage of City Sightseeing’s latest discount offering and take a ride on the Wheel of Excellence.  All holders of a valid City Sightseeing ticket qualify for a discount on their Wheel of Excellence tickets and instead of paying R80, adults will pay R60, whilst kids will pay R30 instead of R40.

On the topic of discounts – City Sightseeing also run a half price pensioners special on Tuesdays and Fridays out of season (not valid between 15 December and 14 January) and pensioners just need to show their bar-coded SA ID book to qualify, exclusively at Bus Stop 1, the Tour Office outside the  Two Oceans Aquarium.

A memorable treat

And for those that might be looking for that perfect gift for someone special…something that is a definite bucket list item – remember the newly launched City Sightseeing Cape Point Sidecar Tour and the new Blouberg Sidecar Tour, which is an exciting new way to discover Cape Town and the Peninsula  in a vintage World War II styled sidecar.  The ninety minute Blouberg Sidecar Tour, with chauffeur, is for two people at R600 or buy online for R540. (This is a private tour and must be booked at least a day in advance and for two people at a time.)

The City Sightseeing Ticket Office is located outside the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront and can be contacted on +27 (21) 511 6000.  Buses operate daily from 09h00 with commentary available in 16 different languages, and includes a fun Kids Channel.

Ticket options for the Red City Tour and Blue Mini Peninsula Tours include the 2-Day valid ticket for R220 (if purchased online, otherwise R250 from the Ticket Office or if purchased on the bus at any of the stops) or the 1-Day valid ticket for R120 (if purchased online, otherwise R150 from the Ticket Office or bus).  Tickets for the Night Tour cost R100 (or purchase online for R90 and save R10) or it is free with a 2-Day ticket.  Tickets for the Canal Cruise cost R30 per adult and R10 per child with under 5’s cruising for free.
