We don't know whether to laugh or cry at this Durban Tourism Video released in 1962. Things sure have changed but we can't help but wonder - why did they get rid of those cool trampolines?WATCH

Cape Town - Then and Now looks at local destinations have become a bit of a trend.

When this Cape Town Then and Now video surfaced we marvelled at how not much seems to have changed across the Mother City's skyline over the last 50 years.

Not one to be out done, even by the darling mother city, Johannesburg charmed with its own version of comparing the old with the new through a split screen.

And then there's this.

While not quite in the same format, this video release by British Pathe' on Youtube - with its excessively kitsch voice-over sort of made us cringe and feeling like some things are better off left in the past.

Although, we wouldn't mind "bouncing with happiness" on those cool trampolines...
