Johannesburg - Tourism improved significantly in the Limpopo province during the 2012 festive season, the SABC reported on Saturday.

Spokesman for the Limpopo Tourism Agency Nocks Seabi told the SABC that the province's wildlife resorts recorded 56,141 visitors last year.

The number had increased from the 53,710 visitors they had in 2011.

He said this signified growth in the Limpopo tourism sectors.
