One&Only voted best spa in Africa

2013-02-27 08:35

Cape Town - While Daniel Day-Lewis and Anne Hathaway were collecting their Oscars last night in Tinsel Town, One&Only Cape Town Spa was receiving its own prestigious award at the spa industry ‘Oscars', the World Spa and Wellness Awards, held last night in London. And once again, the renowned five-star Spa was recognised for its excellence by receiving the Best Spa of the Year in Africa 2013 award, for the second consecutive year.

Setting the standard for honouring the best spa facilities and innovators globally, recognition from World Spa and Wellness Awards is high praise indeed and Spa manager Rosy Larsen and her team are understandably thrilled. During the judging process, World Spa Awards invite top facilities around the world to participate and a panel of expert judges select the finalists after a vigorous, audited judging process.

The final winner is selected for each category following a visit from both an official judge and a mystery judge. The award is one of many global accolades that have been presented to One&Only Cape Town Spa since its inception just four years ago.

In an industry that demands innovation and excellence, the team at One&Only Spa is constantly educating themselves on new wellness and beauty methodologies as well as the latest product innovations. It is this dedication to being at the top of their game, attention to maintaining impeccable service levels and of course the world-class facilities in the 1000m2 Spa which occupies its own waterside island at One&Only Cape Town, that ensures they are widely known as the best spa in Southern Africa and indeed Africa.

While the One&Only Spa team have plenty of cause to celebrate, visitors to the Spa have a lot to be happy about too. From 1 March to 31 May, guests will be able to enjoy a Chocolate Delight Manicure or Pedicure in the Bastien Gonzalez Pedi:Mani:Cure studio. This specialised treatment combines the ‘podiatrist to the stars' patented feet and hand treatments given a delicious chocolatey twist in the form of a complementary cocoa and vitamin E enriched paraffin treatment. The Chocolate Delight Manicure is priced at R450 while the Pedicure is R750.

Meanwhile from 1 March it will be possible to conveniently purchase One&Only Spa gift vouchers online for everything from luxurious ESPA massages to facials and of course Bastien Gonzalez specialised manicures and pedicures. An ideal gift for yourself or a friend or a convenient way to arrange a beauty or body treatment prior to check in, the online voucher system is just one way of ensuring the best Spa in Africa is accessible from anywhere in the world and at any time.
